Digitally savvy prior to receiving his grounding in retail on the John Lewis Partnership management scheme, he has since gone on to hold a number of senior e-commerce and multichannel roles at major UK retail brands Waitrose (the premium grocer part of the John Lewis Partnership), the soft furnishings retailer Dunelm, and most recently since 2014 on the executive board of homewares retailer The Range directing their multichannel strategy, which is reported to be delivering significant growth having been recognised in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 and now operates over 140 stores in addition to their substantial online operation.

Girl Meets Dress started out whilst Anna was working for Hermes as Head of UK PR when she noticed there was a gap in the market for luxury clothing and accessory rental for women. She quickly jumped on the idea becoming the first company in the world to hire luxury fashion online. Anna’s background is in Fashion, Journalism and PR with her degree in Fashion Promotion from London College of Fashion and her skill sets meant she could start up, generate world-wide press attention and launch Girl Meets Dress. The business has scaled throughout Europe, and the Anna has been busy pioneering the way forward for rental as a new and exciting ecommerce category of its own. Anna was chosen as Management Today’s Top 6, 35 under 35 cover stars and has won many awards, including the Drapers Innovation Etail award, the Natwest Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year, and the Specsavers Everywoman in Retail Award as well as being in the ‘Online Fashion 100’, ‘Top 100 Web Start Ups’ and ‘Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year’.

Bas Komen

Bas Komen is an international experienced Digital, Social & eCommerce professional. Worked in Telecom (KPN) Consumer Electronics (TomTom) and currently active in the CPG/FMCG branch at Cloetta. Founded in 1862, active with 35+ brands, sold in 50 countries, produce & sell candies, chocolate, nuts & chewing gum.

In his current role, Bas is responsible for Social Media, Digital Marketing and eCommerce (strategy, organization, measurement, partnerships, advertising, etc.) for the Cloetta group. As part of the
international marketing team, reporting to the CMO, Bas drives the Social Media & eCommerce transformation towards a ‘Conversation Company’.

Bill Hopkins

Executive Director of TOC Solutions and Operations, Trainline

Bill Hopkins joined Trainline in July 2002 and drives Operations and Carrier Solutions teams from Trainline’s Edinburgh HQ. A problem-solver with the customer at the heart of every decision, Bill never defaults to the conventional, always looking for ways to improve the customer experience. Before joining the world of rail, Bill was Vice President for Customer Care & Billing at KPNQ West, where he was responsible for Billing and Customer Support across 15 countries for EUNET Internet Service Providers and the KQ backbone network. When not driving the Trainline operations team, Bill spends his time trying to work out why golf balls never end up where he has aimed, why he still can’t use the subjunctive correctly when studying Spanish and why Millwall are so inconsistent.

Caroline Hazelhurst

Caroline Hazlehurst is Director of Operations at Deliveroo. She joined the business in April 2015 and was previously UK General Manager. Prior to joining Deliveroo, Caroline was an Investment Executive at private equity firm Bridgepoint, and was previously in Investment Banking at Barclays and Rothschild. In addition, she has held various Non-Executive Director roles at early stage startups.

As SVP at Prism, he worked with top international retailers to optimise service, merchandising and store design to resonate with customers and maximize revenues. Cliff is passionate about improving the customer experience in off and online retail, and believes that the combination of cutting edge technology to get to actionable insights and reduce back end costs, combined with excellent front end customer service/experience in all channels, is the true future of retailing. Cliff now works with retailers on the customer experience, and with Emrays on calculating emotions.

Daniel Infanger

Jamie Merrick

Jamie has been working for over 15 years in the retail space, with a primary focus on eCommerce. He has held a number of eCommerce management roles for  brands such as kitbag, Brora and most recently American golf. In addition, he set up and successfully exited a digital marketing agency and has worked as an independent consultant to a number of retail brands and technology providers. His primary responsibilities at Salesforce Commerce Cloud are to act as the voice of the customer within the EMEA region and to facilitate acquired new technologies into the region.

Peter Ward

Peter has over 30 years’ experience in international transportation, logistics and supply chain management; and is recognised as a principal of authority in global supply chains and logistics based on achievements at Director level with some of the world’s leading global logistics providers. A Graduate of the Institute of Export and Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Peter’s career started in the export shipping department of Courtaulds plc, before joining his family’s freight forwarding company, D H Ward (Shipping) Ltd, where he became Managing Director. In 1994 he masterminded the Company’s merger with American-owned Fritz Companies, which under his leadership became a top-five forwarder in Europe prior to acquisition by UPS in 2001. More recently Peter was Director Europe of P&O Nedlloyd Logistics, and Commercial Director at DP World London Gateway prior to joining UKWA as Chief Executive in January 2015. Peter has significant practical experience of international process design and network optimisation throughout Europe, Asia and North America; designing and delivering complex supply chain solutions in different logistics and client organisations worldwide, with an impressive history of multiple client cost and service benefits across various industry sectors.

Philip Driver

A Digital Leader with a 10+ year career in online, working on global multimillion dollar brands. Currently he works for Canon Europe heading up the eCommerce team, a 28 strong group of digital marketers, Insight and Conversion rate optimisation specialists, Customer Service and Operations agents, Content and Merchandising associates and Product and Trading Managers. Canon has a target to deliver 10% of all consumer revenue via eCommerce across Europe within the next 3 years. With 15 stores already launched and plans to roll out more in 2018 they are well on there way. Previously he has worked on the huge internet game franchise League of Legends which severs 100M active players every month and also Digital River, one of the world’s largest full service eCommerce platform providers, rolling out global store for big brands.

Richard Barnes

Richard Barnes has worked in marketing and research insight for over 30 years; holding Director positions at Research International and TNS (Kantar), before setting up Select Research Ltd in 1995.

Over 20 years, Select have become established as pioneers in 3D body measurement for clothing retailers, including managing the largest ‘national’ sizing surveys in the UK, on adults in 2001 and children in 2010.

Select have also initiated similar innovations in healthcare, launching, in May 2017, the Body Volume Indicator (BVI); a 3D enhancement to the 200-year old Body Mass Index (BMI). BVI has been developed using Select’s new patented body volume technology.

Walter Blackwood

Yuval is Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of SafeCharge Bulgaria and joined the Board as Group Chief Operating Officer. He began working at SafeCharge in 2007 and is responsible for SafeCharge’s relations with acquiring banks, payment providers, and third-party suppliers. In addition, Yuval runs the Group operations, account management, sales and business development. Yuval manages key projects and directs multicultural talented teams globally. Yuval holds a BA in Economics (Business Administration) and MA in Law from Bar Ilan University, Israel.
